When the new Jaguar logo didn’t strike, I did. So I reimagined it — modern, futuristic, and true to its legacy.

Jaguar is embarking on a bold new journey, rebranding itself for “a new era” as it prepares to go fully electric. A move this ambitious should excite fans, but if internet buzz is any indicator, not everyone is onboard with the new branding.

Jaguar’s Newest Ad

As a long-time Jaguar admirer and a designer, I couldn’t ignore the discontent. The uproar wasn’t just about the all-electric transition — it was the new logo. Many felt that the branding had lost its iconic spirit, its roar, its Jaguar-ness.

Instead of just joining the chorus of critiques, I decided to channel my passion and expertise into a creative solution: reimagine the Jaguar logo for the EV era, blending the brand’s timeless elegance with a fresh, modern, and electrifying twist.

Jaguar’s Legacy: Why the Logo Matters

Since its inception, Jaguar has stood for power, sophistication, and a sense of untamed freedom. The leaping jaguar emblem isn’t just a logo — it’s a promise. A promise of exhilarating performance, luxurious craftsmanship, and bold design.

Rebranding a legacy this strong isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about evolution. How do you honor decades of heritage while signaling a future of innovation? It’s a balancing act, and as a designer, I saw an opportunity to strike that balance.

My Design Approach

Creating a reimagined Jaguar logo wasn’t just about making something that looked “cool.” It was about staying true to the brand’s DNA while pushing it forward. Here’s how I approached it:

  1. Respect the Legacy: The leaping jaguar remains the focal point — a symbol of agility, grace, and power.
  2. Modern Minimalism: Clean, fluid lines give the logo a fresh, futuristic vibe, making it suitable for a tech-driven, electric era.
  3. Electrifying Touches: Subtle geometric patterns and glowing accents reflect Jaguar’s embrace of sustainable innovation and cutting-edge technology.
  4. Timeless Versatility: The design works seamlessly across digital and physical platforms, from illuminated EV badges to app icons.

The Process

I’ll admit, the process was both exciting and challenging. It took me 2–3 hours of focused design work (and a couple of strong coffees) to land on a concept that felt right. The goal wasn’t to reinvent the wheel but to reimagine the leap — elevating Jaguar’s legacy for a bold, electric future

Unveiling the Vision

When you look at the reimagined logo, I hope you’ll feel the same excitement I do. The leaping jaguar is still there, but with a modernized silhouette that roars louder than ever. Its electrified details are subtle yet powerful, hinting at the brand’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

What Do You Think?

Now, it’s your turn. Whether you’re a designer, a Jaguar fan, or just someone passionate about brand identity, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

  • Does this design strike the perfect balance between heritage and future?
  • What emotions does it evoke for you?

Final Thoughts

Jaguar’s leap into all EV is a bold move, and rebranding is a natural part of that journey. While the new official logo has sparked debate, it’s moments like these that remind us how deeply we connect with iconic brands.

For me, this project was more than a creative exercise — it was a love letter to a brand that has inspired generations. Jaguar’s future is bright, and with the right balance of innovation and respect for its legacy, the roar will only grow louder.

Let’s roar together. 🐆⚡
